Express Entry (EE)

FSW
Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) is one of the terms used for immigration under the EE program. The FSW is skilled and experienced and will benefit the Canadian economy.
There are a number of factors that influence the selection process which is based on a point system. Minimum requirements must be met for education and experience in your specific skill area, and also language proficiency in either English or French.
CEC
Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a term used to describe those skilled workers already working in Canada who would be eligible to immigrate under the EE program.
Like the FSW program, there will be minimum requirements that must be met in order to gain entry. Language ability is very important including writing, reading, listening, and speaking, although you may show this proficiency in either English or French.
One year of skilled work experience in your area of expertise is also required.
FSTW
There is a Federal Skilled Trade Worker (FSTW) and a Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). These are all terms used as one path to immigrate through the Express Entry Program.
Immigrating under this program requires two years of skilled work experience, and a demonstrated proficiency in either of Canada’s two national languages, English or French. You must also prove that a valid job offer awaits for you.
PNP
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a program specific to British Columbia. The PNP for British Columbia is a fast track for experienced and high-demand foreign workers and entrepreneurs to become permanent residents and then citizens of Canada.
Family Sponsorship
If you are a permanent resident in Canada, it is possible to sponsor certain relatives to join you in Canada if you meet specific requirements.
